Accounting integration
QuickBooks Online
OAuth-connected payments inside the Intuit ecosystem.
A native QuickBooks Online integration that connects via OAuth 2.0 — no plug-in to install. Invoice payments, Sales Receipts, and tokenized customer profiles sync bidirectionally so your books and your processor never disagree.
What you get
One-click connect
OAuth handoff in the merchant portal — no credentials shared, no plug-in installs, no support call to IT.
Pay-by-link invoices
Hosted payment links inserted directly into QuickBooks email templates. Customers click, pay, and the invoice marks paid automatically.
Recurring + auto-pay
Customer-initiated auto-pay or merchant-driven recurring schedules — both fully tokenized and PCI-scoped to our vault.
Surcharge templates
Surcharge fees, where legal, are itemized as a separate line on the QuickBooks invoice for clean audit trails.
How it works
From install to live traffic on QuickBooks Online.
No middleware to maintain, no PCI-scoped infrastructure to host. The flow below is the same whether you're a small business or processing nine figures a year.
- 1
Connect via OAuth
From your merchant portal, click "Connect QuickBooks Online". Intuit's standard OAuth screen handles the handoff — you grant Superior Payments scoped access to your QBO company, no credentials shared, no IT call.
- 2
Customers sync automatically
Existing QuickBooks customers populate in Superior. New customers added in either system sync to the other within seconds. Tokenized payment methods live in our vault and surface inside QuickBooks as saved cards-on-file.
- 3
Pay-link on every invoice
Send a QuickBooks invoice with a Pay Now link automatically inserted. Customers click, complete payment on our hosted page, and the invoice marks paid the moment funds clear.
- 4
Auto-pay and recurring
Customers can enroll in auto-pay against a saved card or ACH account. Or schedule recurring drafts from inside QuickBooks for retainers, subscriptions, and standing AR.
Who runs it
Where QuickBooks Online merchants get the most lift.
Three merchant profiles where this integration consistently pays back in the first quarter.
Small-business AR teams
Replace "chase the customer for a check" with a pay-link on every invoice. Most QBO merchants see DSO drop 5–15 days after switching to pay-link billing.
Service-business retainers
Convert one-off invoicing to scheduled auto-pay. Tokenized customer cards renew silently; failed renewals trigger account-updater retry before the customer even notices.
QBO Plus / Advanced multi-entity
Each QBO company maps to its own Superior MID. Deposits route to the right bank account, and Superior's consolidated dashboard rolls up activity across all entities.
Better with Superior
Why QuickBooks Online merchants choose the full stack.
Most QuickBooks Online merchants pair this integration with automated chargeback rebuttal (CNP invoice fraud is the #1 dispute category for QBO merchants) and ACH for recurring billing — moving subscription renewals off cards drops the effective processing rate and cuts decline-driven churn.
Superior AI fraud detection
Proprietary LLM scores every authorization in real time — catches CNP fraud and friendly-fraud patterns before they hit the chargeback line. Included on every Superior account.
How Superior AI worksAutomated chargeback rebuttal
Auto-builds evidence packages with shipping records, AVS, CVV, 3DS data, and submits them on your behalf. No per-win fee, no separate chargeback vendor.

Running an ISV or building a customer portal on top of this integration? Our gateway lives behind the scenes — PCI Level 1, Stripe/Square API translation, multi-acquirer routing — at 0.5% + $0.10 per transaction.

Already integrated against another gateway? Our API translation layer means you keep your existing code and we translate the calls. Most migrations cut over in 10–14 days.

Frequently asked
Common questions from merchants evaluating this integration.
Does this require any code or plug-in install?
No. Connection is OAuth — standard Intuit handoff in the browser. No plug-in to maintain, no version upgrades to coordinate.
How does it work for QBO Plus / Advanced with multiple companies?
Each QBO company connects independently. You can route each company's payments to its own MID and bank account, or consolidate to one — whatever fits your structure.
Will my customers see Superior Payments branding?
By default, the hosted payment page uses your branding and the invoice link goes to a pay-page on your domain (via DNS). Optional white-label / co-branding available.
What about Intuit's own QuickBooks Payments?
QuickBooks Payments is Intuit's offering at Intuit-set rates. Superior gives you negotiated pricing, AI fraud detection, automated chargeback rebuttal, and the same in-QBO experience — plus surcharging and ACH at lower rates than Intuit's.
Other integrations to consider
Merchants often run more than one. Same Superior account, same vault, same merchant portal.
